->because I can’t think of a nice title for this random post of mine..

Ngayon lang ulit ako magbo-blog in Tagalog (or Taglish).

Continue reading

the ultimate reward

For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. For I am hard pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. –Philippians 1:21-23, NKJV

Our lives, if we let the Spirit truly direct it, have two advantages. One is while we’re still alive and if we’re living in God’s holiness, righteousness, and living out His words and commandments, we can do more things for the Lord. Second is that after living according to His will and word, we then have the chance, finally, to be with the Lord. I think the greatest reward we could ever receive is to be finally with the One who created us. Be with the One who has forever truly loved and known us, since the beginning of time. Be with the One who has called us, though we haven’t seen Him, but because we live by faith, we know Him, we love Him. We believe Him whom we haven’t seen. That’s the ultimate reward we could ever have. To meet Him finally.

close enough to hear

Come back to where and when you first desired God’s presence. It is not because you deserve it– the glory manifestation– but because God is a gracious God. You cannot add more to it. You are nothing without God. Always remember that. It is not by your own power nor your own strength, but it’s always by the Holy Spirit.

–written last April. I keep going back to my previous devotional writings and notes, because I know I can find wisdom in those posts. Some I just can’t believe that I wrote them down, or I’m not just aware (?), or I’ve forgotten most of it, because I keep on writing down all the thoughts. It’s good to look back and learn from the things God had spoken to me.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. (John 15:4)

I remember John the Beloved. Among the four gospels, his is the most unique one. My theory is that he walked, stayed, listened very, very close to the Lord enough to hear words of wisdom, truth, and revelations different from the other three. Well that’s why he is called the Beloved :)

May we always desire to abide in the Lord– an intimate relationship with Him ♥

Finished reading chapter 2 of The Attributes of GodGod’s Immensity. Wow… I’m so awed and floored by the revelations and understanding God gave to Tozer. And I’m so touched, and I feel so loved and gifted by the LORD. Continue reading

Victory!

February 28 ~ I thank God for this date, dahil after months of preparing/doing our game dev, and weeks after our defense/re-defense/final checking, we’ve finally received approval for our documentation from the lead panel. Ilang araw kaming pabalik-balik sa college department para malaman kung aprubado na kay doctor lead panel ang docu namin na ilang beses pina-revise (hehe!).. and nung araw na yan (exactly 7 days after the deadline of the scheduled final checking which was Feb 14 where we spent our “Valentine’s Day” in the school eating & strolling around & watching other people giving and getting flowers and gifts, LOL~), nung umaga, ang prayer ko sa Lord was “Lord, nawa ito na po ang araw ng katugunan ng pinagdarasal namin (Lord, may this day be the answer to our prayers).” And, to God be the glory, the lead panel approved our docu. It meant that both our system and docu had met the panel’s requirements. I praise the Lord for He is always faithful and good! Now, we’re waiting for the final requirements to be posted so that we could have our grades now before the Incomplete deadline (our thesis is marked Incomplete, and it is due only until this sem). We’re waiting and hoping to God and His answers. How great is our God forever!

three verses

Wow another year has passed by, and here we are, at 2013. Time really flies by so quickly. When I was a kid I’ve never thought that the world would reach until this far (because y’know, Astroboy is set on 2030, and Marty McFly time-traveled to 2015. I thought the 21st century would introduce us to flying cars and silver uniforms in tights XD).

So much for that.2013resolutions_122712-thumb-640xauto-7388

I was planning to write on New Year’s Eve, but I got caught up in many household chores and errands. That certain day is always busy, because it’s my special day— another year has also been added to my age. Haha! (There goes my youth… lol) But in line of this I want to share my three life verses— ones that have truly struck me, and motivated and inspired me, taught me to be more mature as I walk daily in this Christian journey.
